Felicity Mukherjee guides players through an interactive personality questionnaire helping them to identify the basis of their motivations, and recognise their potential for moral, social and economic transformation. Felicity Mukherjee is my corporate alter-ego, through whom I have created participatory live art works using market research methods since 2006. The Motivation Game is inspired by Milton Bradley’s ‘Game of Life’ and informed by Southwark’s Victorian historical status as ‘The City of Transformations’. |
How to play The Motivation Game
Felicity presents the 8 multiple choice survey questions, and players step onto the grid squares corresponding with their answers.

An assistant follows players recording their answers by marking their trail in chalk on the grid.

The answers of each player are recorded directly onto personal results cards that are issued to the player at the end, notifying them of their Motivational Base and Transformative Potential.
The marks left by players remain on the grid, and build up over the day to create a comprehensive record of all those taking part in the survey in a graph format. The colours of the dots and connecting lines will represent specific demographic information about the participant.
