S O M A
I set out to discover whether Huxley's fears were valid. Would we, in the real 'Brave New World', be a population dependent upon pharmacology for any sense of well being and joy? Does Huxley's Soma drug exist in real life, and if so, in what form or guise? My quest has lead me to discover three different unnderstandings and applications of the word 'soma', the last of which is in the form of a workshop intended as 'anarchist's therapy' which I will be undertakng as the third form of action research.
Firstly there is Soma according to Huxley, which includes 4 meanings of Soma, Soma as an ancient hallucinogen and Soma as mentioned in 'Brave New World'
