Members of the public are invited to take part in a market
research exercise conducted on behalf of the client, Lucy Panesar. Persons who commit to participating in this
unique opportunity will help the client evaluate the efficacy of the client’s
practice and receive a complimentary
drink and £10 gift voucher.
The client, Lucy Panesar is:
· Is a sole trader in the business of visual/live art production (commonly known as an ‘artist’)
· Has a diverse range of production outputs, described by the market as socially engaged
· Has practiced independently, on a part to full time basis since graduating in 2002
· Is motivated by a strong sense of social responsibility and ecological concern
· Tries to avoid creating art objects and using bought materials
· Purposefully creates subversive experiences for unsuspecting audiences
· Supports her practice by teaching part time in further education
The exercise is designed to evaluate the efficacy of the client’s practice through measuring respondents’ attitudes towards example outputs. It’s design is an adaptation of the standard LSH.07 MR model for qualitative research containing three stages, each stage based upon a specific set of questions, directly and indirectly related to the client’s specifications. Respondents are encouraged to arrive at 7pm to receive their complimentary drink and their first set of instructions, before proceeding onto Stage 1 of the exercise.
