I wondered the streets of Camberwell, my shelves empty, my life in need of transformation. I asked people I passed by for help. What had they read lately that made them feel better, had a positive impact on their life? What would they recommend to me... lost lonely soul?

I made note of these recommendations on a post-it note, and stuck them to my empty shelves as reminders for later that day when I would visit the local library.

After collecting over 100 recommendations I wheeled my shelves, now filled with hopeful promise, to Camberwell Library. The shelf and its contents became a gift, a contribution to the happiness of fellow residents, so I saw fit to introduce the collection formally.
